Normally we wouldn’t care what goes into making those fancy press pictures car makers release when launching a new model. But in the case of the Aston Martin Vanquish, we’re interested to see every bit of it. That’s partly because the VanQ is such a fabulous looking car, and partly because Aston doesn’t compromise on stuff like this. For this car they went to Staud Studios, and the location for the shoot was Italy.
That’s a great combination then. So let’s go behind the scenes and see how they went about the business producing these pictures:
And as quick recap, the new Vanquish replaces the DBS in Aston’s lineup, featuring the same sort of chassis and powertrain. Everything has been thoroughly upgraded for the Vanquish though. It’s stiffer, more rigid, and better to drive. Also thanks to a revised V12 engine developing 573 PS (565 bhp) and 620 Nm (457 lb ft) of torque, it’s also much faster. It does 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 295 km/h (183 mph).
