2012 SEMA: Bisimoto Hyundai Elantra GT Concept

Bisimoto Engineering Elantra GT Concept at 2012 SEMA: Bisimoto Hyundai Elantra GT ConceptAfter Genesis Coupe and Veloster, now Hyundai releases details of a heavily tricked-out version of the Elantra GT – i30 Hatchback in Europe – tuned by Bisimoto. This thing has over 600 horsepower, coming from an engine that has a capacity of jut 1.8 liter. It’s an amazing achievement.

The engine is of course tuned to destruction with stuff like forged Arias pistons, Bisimoto con-rods, AEM water-methanol injection and Bisimoto high-pressure injectors, and so on, but the main source of power is the Turbonetics turbocharger system. Although how big they are to provide 600hp, we don’t know. And unless they’ve come up with some sort of witchcraft, the turbo lag is going to be colossal.

The rest of the package is pretty mellow. The Elantra gets an ARK custom body kit, a JFN full roll cage, Bisimoto racing seats and harnesses, and custom interior. 18×8.5-inch Buddy Club P1 Racing SF Challenge wheels, coilover suspension, and a sport exhaust system are other parts of the program.
