We had seen a preview of this car before, and to be honest, we never thought they go ahead and make it. This is a 600-horsepower Hyundai Elantra GT – or i30 if you live in Europe – by Californian tuner Bisimoto Engineering. The most interesting part is that that 600hp comes from a 1.8 liter engine!
They’ve obviously used some meaty turbocharger to get that kind of power, but the turbo is only part of the engine tuning program. It gets lots of high performance racing stuff, most of which not really suitable for a family car like the Elantara. But that’s OK, because it’s just a show car — an engineering exercise.
They might find some use for the rest of the car though, which includes an ARK custom body kit, a JFN full roll cage, Bisimoto racing seats and harnesses, and custom interior. What we don’t wanna see out it the real world is that funny paint job with all those graphics.
