Hennessey Performance announced initial details of their tuning programs for the 2013 SRT Viper. They will offer two Venom packages to start with, the 700R and the 1000 TwinTurbo. The actual packages are more powerful than what their names suggest, with the 700R being good for 725 bhp, and the 1000TT for a full 1,120 bhp.

The standard Viper has 640 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque coming from a 8.4 liter V10 engine.

The 700R kit for the Viper and Viper GTS will replace that engine’s cylinder heads, exhaust, air filters, management software, gaskets and other stuff with high performance parts, and also brings along sport headers and catalysts and what not. The package also includes a carbon aero kit, racing-inspired interior, unique badging, and new wheels.

The Venom 700R can do the classic 0 to 60 run in 3.1 second, and reach a top speed of 216 mph.

The 1000 TwinTurbo SRT Viper by Hennessey takes modifications to the next level by replacing the engines inner parts with Hennessey’s own high performance bits and bobs. It gets new pistons, new rods, new bearings, huge turbochargers and intercoolers, a bespoke exhaust system, and… It is, to all intents and purposes, a racing car for the streets, as its massive body kit suggests.

Performance-wise, the Venom 1000 does 0 to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds, and runs the quarter mile in 9.7 sec @ 152 mph. Top speed is limited by the car’s aero characteristics.
