The all-new 2013 Range Rover snatches its first official accolade as Sunday Times Driving Top 100 Cars puts it at the top of their list in 4×4 category. The new lighter, nimbler, Range Rover has been awarded for its even greater off-road capabilities than the old model, and the host of technology features it is blessed with.
It is interesting, because the car is yet to be tested by the press. No civilian has driven it yet. The closest the public has been to the new Range Rover was at the Paris Motor Show where they let a couple of people to ride shotgun with Land Rover’s Chief Engineer, Vehicle Integrity, Mike Cross.
The car has been available to order for a month now, promising a January 2013 delivery. The car has a base price of £71,295 and can be ordered with a petrol 510PS LR-V8 Supercharged and two diesel (3.0-litre 258PS TDV6 and 4.4-litre 339PS SDV8) engines, all paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
