As announced earlier, Chevrolet will unveil the new generation Corvette, the C7, on 1.13.13. Until then they are going to tease us with numerous videos and pictures. But it is probably worth keeping an eye out for the new Corvette, because all the evidence we’ve seen so far suggest that the new car is going to be completely different than the current model.
Even Chevy’s own site one13thirteen.com says nothing will be the same. That is both good and bad.

This first teaser video of course doesn’t show anything to go by, but rumor has it the C7 will have a more angular design with details harking back at early models. That is fine. What might not be fine is the powertrain. Corvettes always had V8 engines, it is sort of its signature dish. But some reports strongly suggest the new one will be getting a turbocharged V6 to save a bit of fuel. Of course these are just rumors. We’re going to have to wait until January 13, 2013 to find out.
