Hyundai has big plans for this year’s SEMA show. We’ve already seen two hotted-up Genesis Coupes they are bringing along, and now we get out first look at the Velocity Veloster. This 400-hp hot hatch-coupe thingy is designed and built by Hyundai’s own team with no help from n outside tuner.
And it’s a cracking little car. Quite how they managed to extract 400 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque out of Hyundai Veloster’s 1.6 liter engine we don’t know, but a car with such a heavy body kit definitely needed that kind of power.
The racing-inspired Veloster features an extreme kit with massive front and rear spoiler, tall side skirts, buffed-up fenders, a huge diffuser, and some racing graphics to top it all off. 19-inch wheels as well as racing suspension and brake are also provided.
This car will sure attract a lot of attention at 2012 SEMA.
