Mercedes-Benz Design Boss Explains “Aesthetic S”

Aesthetic S at Mercedes Benz Design Boss Explains Aesthetic S

At the 2012 Paris Motor Show Mercedes rather quietly unveiled a 3-dimensional sculpture called the Aesthetic S. It was a preview of the next generation Mercedes S-Class. Well, not a preview as such, but rather a teaser. The sculpture only showed the silhouette of the new S-Class. It was shown to the public with some cool light show. Hit the jump and check out the Aesthetic S, and listen to Gorden Wagener Head Designer of Mercedes-Benz as he talks you through the details of this art work.

We are actually more excited about the technology features of the new S-Class than its design. As you know the S-Class always showcases the latest and greatest systems in terms of safety, comfort, and convenience. What you see in the new S-Class is what you will get five years later in your ordinary family saloon. The new Mercedes S Class will be revealed sometime next year, and goes on sale as a 2014 model.
