The C-Class has one of the richest families in Mercedes range. It’s got a sedan, an estate, a coupe, even a Black Series variant. And soon there will be a convertible model joining the lineup. That is what Mercedes-Benz USA CEO Steve Cannon says.
The new C Class Convertible will be part of a major plan Mercedes is plotting to refresh its entire range in the U.S. market. The offensive will include introduction of 11 new models over a period of eight years, and refreshing and upgrading existing cars.
The first outcomes of this plan we will be seeing pretty soon include the new CLA-Class, and the new generation of the Mercedes S Class.
The new C-Convertible will be the cheapest drop-top model on offer by Mercedes. On the other side of the table, Mercedes will be launching a drop-top version of the next S-Class as well, so they will have an entire range of convertible cars on offer to cater for every need and budget. It will begin with the C-Class, and goes up from there with the SLK, E-Cabrio, SL, S-Cabrio, and SLS Roadster.
