Every now and then AMG allows a celebrity or a top motoring journalist to come to their factory in Affalterbach and make an engine. Well, not like that actually; the guests assist the head engineer who assembles the thing. This time Motor Trend’s Jonny Lieberman has the privilege, and he has an interesting story to tell from his experience.

Don’t worry. AMG is not going to use Jonny’s engine in a production car. First they wanted to put it in a press car, but then decided it’s probably best to put it on a stand and on display in a corner of the shop!
