The Black Series SLS is powered by a tricked-out version of the old 6.2 liter naturally-aspirated AMG V8. It could be the last time we see this magnificent engine in a production car, as it’s already been replaced in most AMG cars with the new 5.5 liter biturbo engine.

In the SLS Black it makes 464 kW (631 hp) at 7400 rpm and accelerates the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. The Black also features the coil-over AMG RIDE CONTROL performance suspension, the AMG ceramic high-performance composite brake system and the weight-optimised forged AMG light-alloy wheels with newly developed sports tyres combine with the electronically controlled AMG rear-axle differential lock and the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission.
