On this episode of Big Muscle Mike Musto checks out a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle which is carefully restomoded by its owner into a modern car. Mike is a bit skeptical that modernizing a muscle car like this may take away its soul. But after spending a few minutes in it, he realizes that, at least with this Chevelle, that argument doesn’t hold water.
This car has a new engine, air condition, sat nav, and an utterly magnificent interior with stitched leather and what not. Despite all the garnish it is still a pure muscle car at heart; a fact you will understand the moment you floor it.

Restomoding is a very appealing prospect, because you get the looks and feel of the old car, with the amenities and reliability of a modern car. It is ruinously expensive though.
