Recently we saw the first pictures of the new BMW M3, or at least the closest thing to the real M3. Now based on those pictures we get a new rendering of the M4. It’s just like a puzzle. You put the leaked pictures besides the new 4 Series Coupe, and there you have it.

Some of you may have gotten confused now thinking what on earth is the M4. Let us explain. With the launch of the new 4 Series, BMW is moving what we used to know as the 3er Coupe and Convertible out of the 3-Series territory, giving them their own unique identity. So the next M3 will be a sedan, and the M4 will be the coupe version.

As for the technicalities, what we now for sure so far is that the M3 and M4 will be powered by a turbocharged in-line Six-cylinder engine. BMW has let go of the 4.0 liter V8, but still doesn’t believe in V6s and things a straight engine is better. It will make something like 444 horsepower, and comes with a new MCT transmission.
