Tuning jobs don’t get more ambitious than that. Bulgarian firm Overdrive AD has finished customizing a Jaguar XJ220; one of the world’s most iconic supercars. It’s not a restomod job, because most of the mechanical parts are intact, and it would have cost an absolute fortune to modernize an XJ220.
What Overdrive has done here is refine the British supercar with visual tweaks and luxury equipment. They begin by applying a special green/brown/golden chameleon paint job, and go on to install custom LED headlights at the front, and new taillights borrowed from Ferrari 599.
The car also benefits from a set of ADV1 wheels – 19-inch front, 20-inch rear – and Akrapovic exhausts with carbon tips. Carbon fiber is also used to trim the interior, along with leather and Alcantara.
The tuner has also installed a Ground Zero sound system, which doesn’t really sit well with the class of the XJ220, but then it’s a custom job and you can have anything you want.
