A few days ago we told you about the McLaren P1’s private party in Beverly Hills, where it was shown to a number of selected journalists and potential customers. Now here’s a video of the car being delivered by a crane into the SLS hotel, the venue for the viewing event. The quality isn’t that good, but it gives you a good look at the new British hyper car.

This P1 is a fully functional prototype, not just a show car. They cover up the important bits  – like the interior – before every preview, though.

McLaren’s Beverly Hills event was part of a U.S. tour the P1 has embarked on to gauge feedback of potential buyers and create some hype for the car’s launch. Given today’s economy – and of course the shadow of Porsche 918 and Ferrari F150 looming over the P1’s head –  it is not going to be an easy task finding people willing to spend well over a million dollar on this car.
