The current generation Mercedes S-Class (Type W221) will soon be replaced with an all-new model. So naturally Mercedes Benz wants to gradually stop the production and sell the remaining stock. For that they may resort to some marketing tricks, such as offering a special edition of the car with more standard equipment for a good price.
Mercedes Benz UK just announced the S-Class AMG Sport Edition, based on the S 350 BlueTEC, with standard AMG front and rear aprons plus sill extensions;, AMG 20-inch wheels, painted brake callipers with Mercedes-Benz lettering; an electric panoramic glass sunroof and illuminated door sills, all fitted as standard.
Inside the cabin this version of the S350 comes with Black Ash Wood trim, a wood- and leather-trimmed steering wheel, studded sports pedals finished in stainless steel, and AMG-branded floor mats.
This is an S-Class, which means the list of available luxury amenities is pretty darn rich: a reversing camera and Keyless Go, Harmon Kardon Front Seat Entertainment – complete with Split View enables the COMAND multimedia system to display different content for driver and front passenger, 4 high-performance speakers and additional amplifiers, a set of headphones and remote control, and DAB digital radio.
The Mercedes S-Class AMG Sport Edition is priced at £69,995. To sweeten the pot further, Mercedes also offers a good finance deal: £499 per month across 24 months with an £11,493 deposit. Owning a new S-Class in Britain has never been easier.
