Falken Motorsports, a well-known name in the GT championship series, announced its plans for the 2013 season. They are coming with an upgraded Porsche 911 GT3 R and the same drive lineup as before, and they will be competing in this year’s VLN and Nürburgring 24 Hours event.

What we are interested in is the new car they’re using, the upgraded Porsche 997 GT3 R, which for the new season gets an optimized aero package that includes wider wings, new splitter and double canards at the front with a larger rear wing to increase downforce.

What’s more, the car features larger cooling vents  around both the front and rear arches and comes with new headlights to improve its night performance during 24 hours campaigns. The wheels are also changed in the new car, now 12-inch wide.
