Lexus will celebrate its first official appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year, bringing the new IS sport sedan and the familiar Gazoo Racing Nürburgring 24 Hours LFA. Granted, not a terribly exciting lineup, but it’s good for a first.

Plus, they have a couple of exciting models in the pipeline, so consider this a warm up for what’s to come over the next few years. The racing LFA is a nice bit of kit, but people are expected to be interested in the new IS. For one thing, it does look really weird in the pictures, so we would want to go and see what it’s like in the flesh.

What’s more, Lexus is offering short test drives of the IS as part of Goodwood’s moving motorshow. You do have to register with you local Lexus Center though. This car is the Japanese manufacturer’s rival for the BMW 3 Series, so it should be good to drive.

The new IS 300h in F Sport trim will also make an appearance at the Festival.
