It must have cost them a lot of money, but JLR managed to get James Bond to come down to New York and put on a show for the unveiling of the new Range Rover Sport. Daniel Craig drove the new Sport through New York in a live reveal event and brought it onto the stage for its world premiere.
Bit of an Overkill, but we very cool.
The fastest, most agile and responsive Land Rover to date has been a good companion for Bond as he put it to test through the closed off streets of New York. The car then popped its cherry during a star-studded event at Skylight at Moynihan Stationon 8th Avenue. They also made a short film out of this whole thing titled “The Delivery”, directed by Jonathan P. B. Taylor.
Craig was attracted to working with Land Rover not only because of his love for the British brand and its vehicles – but also because both he and the brand share a link with the charity S.A.F.E., of which he is a patron. Land Rover, having previously donated a Land Rover Defender to the Kenyan NGO and UK Charity 4 years ago, is delighted to continue its support and is donating an additional vehicle to the charity later this year.
With an unveiling event like this even a Dacia Duster looks cool. Fortunately, the Range Rover Sport is not just about show and has a lot of substance. You can read more about the car right here.
