Fiat North America announced official pricing details of the new 500e electric car as it launches in California. Possibly the cutest electric car made to date, Fiat 500e is priced at $32,500 which sounds like a lot for 500. But if you live in California you can also go for a 36 months lease program with $999 down and $199 monthly payment.

Californians also benefit from federal credits, state incentives and FIAT rebates, which cut the purchase price of the 500e to $20,500. Now that sounds more reasonable, especially as the car can only do 87 miles on one charge; barely enough to take you from Beverly Hills and the Valley and back.

Fiat has also setup dedicated 500e department to help the customers ease into the transition of driving electric. Two well-stocked retail distribution centers in California will provide customers with easy access to color and feature combinations that may not be available at their local studio, reducing wait time and the need for specials orders.

What’s more, each FIAT studio in California will have four charging stations. The 500e also has a standard navigation system that provides the customers with locations of the nearest charging stations along their routes. Once they plot their route, the navigation system also depicts their driving range with a circle around their location.
