E-Class Long is a long wheelbase version of the German executive sedan Mercedes Benz has made exclusively for the Chinese market. Long cars are hugely popular in China because luxury buyers appreciate the extra legroom, and the fact that their car is bigger than the normal version!
The 2014 version of the Mercedes E-Class Long has been unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show boasting a length of 5019mm, which results in a 104mm longer wheelbase. That in turn means 14cm of additional leg room for the VIP in the back, and they will have a wide range of range of toys to play with back there. What’s more, the rear passengers will be able to electronically adjust the front seats, in case they needed even more legroom!
The Long E-Class comes in two normal and sport versions, one differentiated by their radiator grilles. The normal luxury model will get the three-pointed star, while the sport version has the, well, sports grille.
The long wheelbase Mercedes E-Class will be available with three engine; the 204-hp E 260 L, the 245-hp E 300 L, and the 333-hp E 400 L.
