GLK 250 4MATIC 600x391 at Mercedes GLK 250 4MATIC Announced with New 4 Cylinder Engine

Mercedes Benz expands the range of available engines for the GLK crossover by adding a new four-cylinder petrol unit. With 155 kW (211 hp) and torque of 350 newton metres, the GLK 250 4MATIC delivers performance figures very close to those of the GLK 350 V6.

The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 215 km/h. Because of the small displacement though, it is fairly economical, averaging 7.7 liters per 100 km.

This engine is tuned for fuel efficiency, as it weighs no more than 139 kg, and boasts features like exhaust gas turbocharger and direct injection with fast-acting piezo injectors. It also has demand-actuated multi-spark ignition, variable valve timing on the inlet and exhaust side, and Mercedes-Benz ECO start/stop function as standard. The new 2.0 liter unit is paired with the seven-speed 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission in the GLK.

The new GLK-Class also comes with the latest generation of Mercedes infotainment system. The optional COMAND Online system has amazing features such as photo-realistic map display in the navigation, SPLIVIEW display, and new LIVE TRAFFIC function.

2013 Mercedes GLK 250 4MATIC is priced from 44,149 Euros in Germany.
