Following a preview with the Technospace concept, Citroen now officially reveals the new C4 Picasso. As you’d expect from Citroen, the car features a cool and funky design. More and more car makers seem to be falling for this slim headlight design. At least on the C4 they work, unlike the new Jeep Cherokee.

Besides the bewildering headlights, other highlights of the exterior include expressive and dramatic lines all over the body, new design wheels, and LED 3D effect rear light. Size-wise, the car is fairly compact at  4.43m long, 1.83m wide, and 1.61m high, but it has benchmark interior space with the largest boot in its category (537 liters). That is  ‘Creative Technologie’ for you.

Citroen describes the new Picasso’s as ‘loft-style’ with lots of space and lots of light. It features massaging and extending Relax seats, and high-tech stuff like full touch driving interface, 12” HD panoramic screen, 360 VISION, PARK ASSIST, active cruise control, active seatbelts and ultrasonic blind spot monitoring system. All that contribute to an enjoyable driving experience while keeping you safe and comfortable.

The new Picasso is 140 kg lighter than the previous model, and that, in combination with new ultra efficient powertrains, result in low running costs. The car is the first non-hybrid MPV to deliver sub-100g/km CO2 emissions. The e-HDi 90 Airdream engine, mated to the new 6-speed clutchless gearbox, emits just 98g/km with fuel economy of 74mpg.
