This summer in the UK Volkswagen ids offering its customers two new and hot special editions of the popular city car, the up! Called Groove up! and Rock up!, these models are both based on the top spec version of the up! and come with exclusive interior and exterior appointments.

 The highlight of the Groove edition is a top-notch Fender audio system with six speakers, an 18 inch subwoofer and a 300-Watt amplifier, complementing the car’s standard infotainment system that features Maps & More navigation and Bluetooth.

The standard kit on this car include heated front seats, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, gear lever and handbrake with orange stitching, bespoke black seats with orange edging, dark-tinted glass from the B-pillar back, 16-inch ‘Upsilon’ alloy wheels and black gloss door mirror caps. It costs £11,640 for the three-door model, and £12,015 for the five-door.

The Rock up! only comes as a three-door and does not have a Fender system, but it gets a styling treatment including an anthracite stripe running the length of the bonnet, roof and tailgate and a full body kit, consisting of gloss black front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser and rear spoiler. Special paint finish and 16-inch wheels complete the look.

The interior ca be specified with black or grey seats, while the standard equipment list includes items like air conditioning, heated front seats, the Maps & More infotainment system, a six-speaker audio system and remote central locking.

Both models are powered by a 60 mpg three-cylinder 1.0-litre 75 PS petrol engine, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
