British car maker Aston Martin is celebrating its centenary this year with special tours, motorsport events, and special editions models. Now to top it all off, they announced a new concept car, to be unveiled at the start of Nurburgring 24 Hours race later this month.

Based on the teaser they have released, the new celebratory concept is a race car of some sort – encompassing the past, present and future – and it combines the traditional design cues of Aston’s old racer, namely the DBR1, with modern mechanicals of their current range, probably the V12 Vantage.

The word is they are going to make two of these, and sell them at an auction. We’ll see what’s up at the N24 event.
