Koenigsegg Agera S 1 600x400 at Koenigsegg Agera S Gets Official

You have seen this green beast before a couple of times, out and about in places like Singapore, where it’ll probably end up living for the rest of its life in an air conditioned garage. It is the Koenigsegg Agera S, and now the Swedish car maker is releasing new details about it.

Even though the Agera S is the latest model in Koenigsegg’s range, performance-wise, it slots below the Agera R. While the R benefits from 1,140 horsepower, the S has to make do with a little over thousand horses, 1,016 to be precise. The torque is limited to 1,100 Nm, which is delivered to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 5.0 liter engine is of course E85 capable.

The Koenigsegg Agera S is, as the Swedish car maker claims, a 400 km/h car. They say it can do 402 km/h, which is astonishing for a rear drive car. As for the acceleration, for the same reason – being rear drive, the Agera S doesn’t manage to be as fast as the all-wheel-drive Veyron. But we don’t think anybody’s going to complain about it taking 2.9 seconds to reach 100 km/h!

The Agera S is set apart from the normal models with its unique paint job. Mind you, every single Koenigsegg is kind of bespoke in that aspect, but the super unique two-tone green paint job on this car is part of its identity.

As for the price, as the saying goes, if you have to ask you can’t afford it. But rumor has it another example of the Agera has already been sold in Singapore for a record 4.2 million USD. Koenigsegg apparently makes both left and right hand drive versions of this car.
