Citroen revealed detailed prices and specifications of its weird, but interesting new MPV, the 2014 C4 Picasso. Rocking the new EMP2 platform, the Picasso promises class-leading space and comfort, with excellent fuel efficiency, garnished with a thick layer of Citroen magic.

Practical Stuff

Weighing 140kg less than its predecessor, the new C4 Picasso is also 4cm shorter. So it is easier to manage and park in town. The interior area covers up to 5.3m² and has the feeling of a lounge thanks to a large panoramic sunroof. Boot capacity is 537-litres with the rear seats up, and 537-litres with them down. The front passenger seat also folds flat to create a load floor length of 2.5m.

Engine Lineup

The highlight of the engine lineup for the new Picasso is the e-HDi 90 Airdream with the new ETG 6-speed gearbox. It returns 74.3mpg and emits only 98 g/km CO2; a record in this class of vehicles. There is also the BlueHDi 150 unit with 110g/km of CO₂, and the e-HDi 115 engine with 104g/km.

Technology

The Picasso comes with a ‘tablet’ style 7 inch touchpad and a 12 inch panoramic HD screen that control most of the car’s features, and also enable a host of connectivity services. You also get 360° VISION, and Park Assist.
