It’s been a while since Audi last released a special version of its A1. But now they are back on track with this new Style Edition available for the S Line models. Positioned between the normal S Line and high-end Black Edition, the A1 S line Style Editions get unique exterior and interior features.

Depending on the engine, this version of the A1 costs between £18,125 to £20,605, which is a lot for a small hatchback. But Audi argues that since the A1 Style Edition offers £2,200-worth of design and technology-oriented options for a premium of £950 above the equivalent S line model, it is good value for money.

What you get for that extra 950 quid include a range of metallic or pearl-effect paint finishes (Ice Silver, Phantom Black, Misano Red or Glacier White), while the three-door and Sportback versions get gloss black roof line as well. What’s more, there is a black styling pack for the single frame front grille surround and a matt black finish for the grille, fog light surrounds and number plate holder. New 17-inch wheels are also included.

Little styling touches continue inside, where depending on the exterior color the color of dashboard can be Misano Red or Glacier White or gloss black. Part-leather sports seats and three-spoke S line sports steering wheel are among the other highlights, while you get the full S Line equipment package including powered windows and mirrors, a split/folding rear seat, air conditioning, a Concert CD audio system incorporating an SD card reader linked to a 6.5-inch retractable display screen, a Bluetooth mobile phone interface and a Driver’s Information System.
