It is about time for the BMW X6 to go under a major overhaul and freshen things up in the sport activity coupe SUV thingy class that it founded itself a few years ago. Before that happens though, BMW is going to milk the current generation for all it’s worth.
This is the BMW X6 M Design Edition – a limited edition, fully M’d up version of the X6 M with BMW racing colors proudly painted on the body. Granted, it makes the whole thing look like a safety car for a Moto GP race, but M fans are going to melt at the mere sight of it.
The stripes are not the only exterior garnish. The car also gets a new front splitter, a new rear spoiler – both of them made from carbon fiber – new gloss black accents, and a set of unique 21-inch BMW M wheels. Inside, the Design Edition features bi-color Merino leather with contrast stitching, red accenting on the dashboard, and Piano black trimming.
No change has been made to the X6M’s 4.4 liter biturbo V8 and it stays in its 555 horsepower state of tune. Production of the BMW X6M Design Edition is limited to 100 units.
