It is a fact that a lot of Mercedes owners play golf. So it was only natural that they ask their design department to come up with a golf cart like an Icon golf cart for the future. So they launched an international competition and asked golfers from around the world to chime in with ideas. This Vision Golf Cart is the result.

The cart boasts Mercedes-Benz design DNA with the diamond grille and unique front and rear lights. But there is more to it than just a three-star badge. It uses touch screen monitors, virtually all aspects of the cart can be controlled without extra buttons. It features a rotatable docking station for an iPad or iPhone and a USB interface, air-conditioning system, head-up display, music layer with loudspeakers, Bluetooth telephone, and AIRSCARF neck-level heating system, first introduced in 2011 in the new SLK Roadster.

What’s more, the head-up display system can be used when the cart is stationary to monitor the course of the game or check out the layout of the course. Doors are easily removable, a retractable lightning rod is included for added safety in case storm clouds start to gather, bright conditions the windscreen can be darkened at the touch of a button, while it also features windscreen wipers with rain sensors. This thing has more features than the S-Class!

Mercedes says this cart is only an idea for the moment. But if golfers show interest in it, they may make a few.
