The Cinque is a very special road-going variation of the Zonda R, of which 5 Roadsters and 5 Coupes have been made. So naturally, it should be called Zonda Dieci. But That’s not important. After the RS, the Cinque is probably the most desirable Zonda. The special color combination and, oh yes, that AMG V12 engine that in this case makes 670 horsepower.
Supercar spotter Tim (Shmee150) has been to the Pagani factory recently and had a chance to sample the Cinque No.1 of 5. They took the car outside and rev it hard. Really hard. The Zonda reacts by firing back, literally!
The Cinque is basically as hard-core as the Zonda R track car, and it gets the same flappy paddle transmission as well – unlike the normal Zondas that have a manual ‘box. The car features a carbo-tanium construction (a sophisticated blend of carbon fiber and titanium) that makes it light, rigid, and also quite safe, incredibly. The body panels will just shatter in case of an accident, keeping the occupants – which are almost certainly heavyweight VIPs, because they can afford a £1.3 million car – out of harm’s way.
