Following Lexus, Honda reveals its new Super GT contender, which is also based on a concept cat that is poised for future production. It is the new NSX concept, and it looks a lot leaner and meaner in its racing overall. The car will be on the Super GT starting from next season.
Honda has confirmed that in accordance with the 2014 Super GT regulations, the NSX-GT is powered by a mid-mounted 2.0 L inline direct-injection 4-cylinder turbo engine, boosted with a racing hybrid system. So it seems the Lexus LF-CC Super GT will be hybrid-powered, after all.
The production version of the NSX, which was recently showcased at Mid-Ohio and will also be present at the Pebble Beach Concours over the next week, will be powered by a similar system, except it’ll get a V6 turbo engine and its hybrid module is integrated into the intelligent all-wheel-drive system.
