While BMW is busy designing concept cars for Gran Turismo 6, Mercedes Benz is working on a different game that will give them more exposure. It’s the DRIVECLUB racing game, in which they are included a large number of latest and greatest AMG models.
Available in demo for the European players, the Mercedes-Benz DRIVECLUB Lineup includes the A 45 AMG, the CLA 45 AMG, the C 63 AMG Coupé Black Series, and the SL 65 AMG. The real highlight of the AMG garage in the game, however, is the the SLS AMG Coupé Black Series.
And it’s not just the inclusion of a vast number of AMG cars that makes DRIVECLUB special for Mercedes. The SLS Black Series has also secured the game’s cover, while A 45 AMG and C 63 AMG Coupé Black Series as well as the SLS AMG Coupé Black Series are featured in the game’s trailers. What’s more, the SLS Black will also be the backbone of the game’s publicity efforts.
DRIVECLUB is a social racing game focused more on the heart and soul of car culture and authentic and immersive driving experience. It includes both high-speed solo racing, and multiplayer racing clubs.
“‘Gaming’ is a medium which has experienced vast growth and is now firmly embedded in all sectors of society, thanks to smartphones, tablets and game consoles like PlayStation. As such, games provided an ideal means of appealing to young and modern target groups in an emotional and well-aimed manner, as demonstrated by Mercedes-Benz since the introduction of the A- and CLA-Class,” says Lüder Fromm, head of Global Marketing Communications Mercedes-Benz Cars.
