Lamborghini is coming to this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance with a rather special display that marks the 50th anniversary of the company. They are bringing their first-ever and the very latest prototype cars: the 1963 350 GTV and the Veneno.
While the 350 GTV melts your heart with its lustrous curves and an innocent-looking face, the Veneno will probably confuse you, as it is uncontrollably mad and loud and vulgar. Seeing these cars together is a rare occasion that helps you appreciate the evolution of Lamborghini as a car maker.
The Veneno, as you may know, is a one-off model designed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the brand. Only it is not a one-off as such, as they will be building three units, each priced at an eye-watering $4 million. You have to be as mad as the way the car looks to spend that kind of money on what’s an Aventador in a silly outfit.
Lamborghini celebrations continue with a display and exclusive executive retrospective presentation on Friday, August 16 at Concorso Italiano, and later on with the 350-vehicle Lamborghini Grande Giro, which is set to be the largest-ever Lamborghini driving event in America.
