Cementing the Tiguan’s position as the best-selling crossover vehicle in the UK, Volkswagen is boosting the car’s value by replacing the SE trim level with the new “Match” grade. It costs 450 quid less than the SE, and boasts £700-worth of extra equipment. So you get more for your money.
So what extras do you get while paying less? Well, you get all the goodies of the SE model, plus the RNS 315 colour touchscreen satellite navigation system, 17-inch wheels, Bluetooth, DAB Radio, USB, and leather on the steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake lever.
Apart from those useful features, the rest of the car is pure Tiguan, which means it is brilliant in its intended role as a family crossover. You get luggage capacity from 470 to 1,510 litres depending on the configuration of the flexible seats, 2Zone climate control, a host of safety features, even Park Assist self-parking system.
The Tiguan Match can be paired with all the engines available in the range, and you can choose between two- or four-wheel-drive. Prices start at £23,245 for the Match 1.4-litre TSI 160 PS. In fact, here’s the full price list:
