We have to be honest when we first saw Vorsteiner’s take on the McLaren 12C in their preview pictures of the early prototypes, we didn’t really care for it. But now they have unveiled the car in full trim and a sexy orange color, and it’s looking pretty darn good.
Dubbed the MP4-VX, this tricked-out McLaren remains within the borders of dignity and style by boasting a subtle, yet elegant styling kit. They could have gone mad and give it large wings and sharp fins, but realizing it is a luxurious British super car they are working on, Vorsteiner was very careful not to overdo it.
The VX package for the 12C consists of a modified front bumper featuring new air intakes and a spoiler lip, revised rear bumper with a dual diffuser unit and extra air ducts, and a pair of new side skirts. Naturally, all the parts are made from carbon fiber. The rear wing is also finished in clear carbon for the sake of aesthetics.
The VX styling kit is not just about the show, as every bit of it is engineered to serve an aerodynamic purpose: create more downforce. A set of Vorsteiner 21-inch wheels wraps up the package.
