Thanks to a spy video that captured the 2014 Mercedes S65 AMG during an official promo video shoot in Rotterdam, we get our very first uninterrupted look at the most powerful saloon in AMG’s arsenal. The V12-powered S65 AMG boats at least 630 horsepower and over 1000 Nm of torque.
Visually, the 2014 Mercedes S65 AMG is easily distinguishable over the normal S-Class and the S63 to a trained eye. It gets different bumpers and grille, with more dark chrome accents and mesh grilles. Around at the back, it appears to have a different diffuser than the S63, but apart form that, everything else is exactly the same. The same would apply to the interior. Save a few small details, the cabin of the S65 and the S63 are identical.
As for the performance, you can expect a 0 to 100 km/h sprint tie of around four seconds, while the top speed is as usual limited to 250 km/h, which kind of spoils the point of hving over 600 horsepower.
The 2014 Mercedes S65 AMG is set for debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Deliveries will begin in March next year.
