Hyundai Veloster Turbo Yellowcake: SEMA Preview

Hyundai Veloster Turbo Yellowcake 600x294 at Hyundai Veloster Turbo Yellowcake: SEMA Preview

As we get closer to this year’s SEMA show, the world’s biggest tuning show, more and more firms send in the first images and details of their creations. This is what EGR Group, a major supplier of aftermarket parts and accessories have come up with. Dubbed the “Yellowcake”, it is based on the Hyundai Veloster Turbo.

Besides the brilliant name derived from the world of nuclear weapons and inspired by the yellow paint scheme, the Hyundai Veloster Turbo Yellowcake has a lot of good features. That is the thing about Hyundai’s sporty models. They are usually easy to modify and improve. Take the Genesis Coupe for instance. The car has been the base for countless tuning jobs since it was first introduced in 2010.

The Hyundai Veloster Turbo Yellowcake benefits from an ARK coil-over suspension and AEM strut brace, adjustable ride height, Brembo brakes, DPE 3-piece racing wheels and Toyo semi-slick racing tires, as well as a roll cage. That is because of what Bisimoto has done to its tiny 1.6-liter turbo engine. They have managed ot extract 250 horsepower by using a new intake system, MagnaFlow exhaust and VP Racing Fuels VP101.

Visually, the car features a body kit complete with front and rear spoilers and diffuser, as well as LED light bar and ONEighty custom headlights. Inside, you find Katzkin-developed custom interior plus Takata racing seats and harness.
