The next special tribute version of the Bugatti Veyron Vitesse Legends Editions is dedicated to Jean Bugatti. Unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show, this unique car differs from the normal Vitesse only in paint work, the interior, and, well, the price tag.

Limited to three units, the Bugatti Veyron Jean Bugatti Edition – or Veyron Jean Bugatti in short – pays homage to the man behind the brand, and harks back to La Voiture Noire (‘The Black Car’), an Atlantic model which was driven by Jean Bugatti himself and has been lost since the Second World War.

Veyron Jean Bugatti edition features a special paitn job consisting of jet black, clear-coated carbon fibre, and for the first time, Bugatti horseshoe sparkles in precious platinum. Crazy stuff. What’s more, the wheels feature black diamond-cut rims.

Inside, the Jean Veyron boasts the same beige and brown tones that were present in the Type 57SC Atlantic. The seats, instrument panel, steering wheel, dash panel, centre console, door trim panels and windscreen crossmember are all rendered in chocolate brown.

Mechanically, the Veyron Jean Bugatti edition is identical to the Vitesse WRC, which means you get a 1,200 horsepower W16 quad-turbo engine with 1,500 Nm of torque; a 0 to 100 km/h time of 2.6 seocnds; and a top speed of 408 km/h.

As for the price, it’s 2.28 million euros, before taxes.
