At the Frankfurt Motor Show, which kicks off next week, Jeep will unveil a new limited edition of its world-famous Wrangler off-roader. Called the Jeep Wrangler Polar edition, this model will only be available in Europe and comes with a number of special features.
First thing you notice about the Jeep Wrangler Polar is the exquisite paint work called Hydro Blue, special graphics, and 18-inch gloss black wheels. These highlights are complemented with a black interior that is geared up with Mopar accessories.
Inspired by the extreme conditions of the Antarctic region, Jeep Wrangler Polar features a bespoke badge that shows off the 78° S and 106° E coordinates that correspond to the location of Vostok in Antarctica, where the lowest temperature on earth (-89.2° C) was recorded.
The car, based on the the Jeep Wrangler Sahara hardtop model, features black front grille with gloss black accenting, winter-themed decals, and fuel-filler door from Mopar. Inside, besides the black leather seats with pearl white stitching, you find a leather-wrapped steering wheel, while the passenger-side dashboard grab bar and dashboard vent rings are finished in high-gloss Ceramic White, going with the overall theme.
Jeep Wrangler Polar edition will be offered with a 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine (200hp) matched to an automatic or manual transmission, or by the 3.6-litre V-6 petrol engine (284hp) paired to the automatic gearbox. Not to mention you get 4×4, with Trac-Lok anti-spin rear differential.
