We are seeing less and less of neat and tidy German tuning programs for ordinary cars these days. That is probably because tuners have become obsessed with high-end luxury and sports car. But there are still firms like Steinmetz who care about ordinary cars such as the Opel Mokka.
They have given the small crossover a nice treatment to make it look and feel better than the standard. That is proper tuning.
By steering clear of ridiculous body kits and just playing around with a few cool body parts, some new wheels, and suspension trickery, Steinmetz has managed to improve the looks of the little Mokka no end.
The car gets a blacked-out sports grille, complemented with a front guard bar in the same color. They both go very well with the standard plastic lower body panels. A set of 19-inch wheels with 225/45 R19 tires boost the visual appeal of the car further.
Also part of the program is an exhaust system with trapezoidal endpipes for the Mokka’s tiny diesel engine. It won’t make any difference in the way the car goes, but then again, this is simply a styling kit; an effort to make the Opel Mokka look classier. Job done, we think.
