Audi R8 has been with us now for many years, and although it still looks fresh and interesting, it is inevitable that soon has to update it. But some people couldn’t wait for Audi to get things going, and came up with their own version of a new R8.

This virtual 2015 Audi R8 is penned by industrial designer Sebastian Kunz. His drew inspiration is designing this car from the Nanuk concept of this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, and you can see its influence clearly at the front with the unique headlights and the grille, and on the side in those blades and side skirts.

As a flight of fancy, this car works well. But we are not sure if Audi is going berserk with the new R8, giving it a completely different look. It’ll probably be more of a subtle facelift. More substantial changes will happen underneath the body, where the R8 might even get a hybrid powertrain, or an electric e-tron version.

We are going to hear more and more about the 2015 Audi R8 over the coming weeks and months, so stay tuned.
