There are reasons to believe that Mercedes and AMG are working on an even hotter version of the recently introduced CLA 45 AMG. The race-prepped CLA 45 RS and a couple of test mules scooped at the Nurburgring are among those reasons.

Now, to give us an idea what might such a creature look like, designer Antongj got busy with his Photoshop and converted an ordinary CLA 45 into a full-on Black Series model.

The Mercedes CLA 45 AMG Black Series, if the previous BS models are any indication, will get a more prominent, more aerodynamic body kit with massively flared wheelarches, front splitter, and rear spoiler and diffuser.

What really set it apart though will be the engine. The standard CLA 45 is powered by a 360 horsepower 2.0 liter turbo four banger. How can AMG possibly extract more power out of this unit is beyond us, but that won’t be the only technical change. The 4MATIC system will be tweaked as well. They may even ditch it in favour of a proper rear-drive setup.

All this of course remains to be seen, as AMG has not yet commented on the existence of a new Black Series model.
