As is the case before a major debut, official pictures of the celebrated car leaks to the web. The car in question this time is the BMW M235i Coupe, the first member of the 2- Series family which replaces the 1-Series coupe and convertible models.
It is quite refreshing, after enduring two generation of the utterly horrible-looking 1-Series, to see that the M235i, and the 2-Seires on the whole, has a normal good-looking design. It looks chiseled and nicely proportioned. Sheer driving pleasure just oozes out its body panels.
The BMW M235i you see here is of course outfitted with the M-Design goodies. It is the coupe equivalent of the highly praised, but still hideous, M135i hatchback, which gets a 320 PS engine. It’ll do 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, and until the arrival of the 2-Series M Coupe, will be the fastest in its family.
