Hyundai and ARK Performance revealed the first sketches of their latest collaborative effort which will be shown at the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. It is called the Legato Concept, and it is based on Hyundai’s pride and joy, the Genesis Coupe.

As ARK says, “Legato” is an Italian musical term meaning “tied together,” reflecting on the car’s togetherness, and its seamless integration of exotic design, tuned performance and luxury coupe interior ambience. It may look a bit too fancy at first glance, but Hyundai Genesis Coupe Legato features one of the best body kits we’ve ever seen for this car.

It gets redesigned front and rear bumpers, side skirts, deck lid and wide-body treatment, all wrapped-up in a cool racing silver paint finish.

The engine powering this car is based on Hyundai 3.8-liter Lambda V6, which ARK has upped to 4.0 liter, and as result it now makes 400 horsepower and 425 lb.-ft. of torque. To make sure the power makes it to the rear wheels, they have used an ARK dual-mass flywheel and carbon clutch kit.

Other high-performance bits and pieces on the Hyundai Genesis Coupe Legato include ARK DT-P coil-over suspension system coupled with lightweight Rays Engineering G25 wheels and Nitto NT05 tires and ARK carbon brake pads. Inside the car features Takata Drift Pro LE seats, AiM Sports Strada GT steering wheel, and digital gauge cluster, as well as a Rockford Fosgate premium sound system.
