RK Motors Collector Car Auctions announced some details of its November 2013 event, and it includes some very fine German cars. The list includes the one-Off, 268mph Lotec Mercedes-Benz C1000; Ultra-Rare Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Roadster; and 1954 300SL Gullwing.
It is a Mercedes fan’s wet dream this lineup, especially the CLK GTR Roadster. It is one of the ultra-rare models tuned by HWA, limited to only 6 units. The CLK GTR was originally conceived as a purpose-built, FIA GT-champion racing car. But rules dictated that in order to be eligible, 25 road-going versions must be produced and sold. And this is one of the only six roadster version of the total 25.
This Mercedes CLK GTR Roadster, chassis number #3, is basically brand-new with only 71 miles on the clock. It is powered by a 6.9L V-12 that pumps out an incredible 604 hp and 572 lb-ft of torque. That translates into a 0 to 60 time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 199 mph, on the par with the most serious supercars of today.
As mentioned, RK also offers a 1954 300 SL Gullwing with only 45,687 original miles, which is interesting, but not as interesting as the one-of-a-kind 1995 Mercedes-Benz Lotec C1000, which was commissioned by a United Arab Emirates-based businessman who had envisioned owning the world’s fastest street-legal car.
The Lotec is powered bya 5.6-liter twin-turbocharged Mercedes-Benz V8 engine with twin Garrett turbos generating 1000hp, achieving zero-to-60mph in 2.8 seconds, and a top speed of 268mph.
