Until recently I saw Selena Gomez as just another brat who’d fallen from the Disney conveyer belt or Justin Bieber’s on and off girlfriend. However, after watching Spring Breakers and The Getaway, my perception completely and utterly changed.

Spring Breakers is a movie brimming with drugs, guns, sex and violence, whilst The Getaway is a chase thriller involving a cool Mustang Super Snake – far from the Disney rubbish. A bikini-clad Selena looked hot on a scooter in Spring Breakers (which she apparently rode everywhere) and pretty damn good in the Super Snake, so with this darker and more exciting side of Miss Gomez revealed in her latest movies, just what does she drive around Hollywood?

Selena is a big fan of exotic cars (she gets to ride in many of Bieber’s collection, including a white 458 Italia and a chrome Fisker Karma) and she was recently spotted filling up fuel in her Ford Escape (pic below) at a gas station. The Ford Escape is one of America’s top-selling SUVs but many experts have labelled it as a little boring (which it is). The Escape comes with choice of three types of engines starting with the 2.5-L four-cylinder engine that delivers 168-bhp. The Escape also features some of the best in-car packages, such as its air-conditioning, six-speaker sound system, keyless entry keypad, 4-inch multi function screen, reclining rear seats and the MyFord Touch electronics interface.

It seems Selena Gomez finally saw the light and added a BMW X5 M to her garage. Selena was spotted here at a gas station in Los Angeles – not used to filling up a car by herself, she gets so confused, she eventually has to ask the paparazzi to move the car for her… which they do!

I just hope Selena Gomez sticks to the gritty thrillers in future movies, and I also hope she buys a few supercars of her own.
