The latest creation of American tuner Bisimoto is probably one of the most insane cars at this year’s SEMA show. It is a Honda Odyssey, which is a docile and practical family MPV, to which they given 1,029 horsepower. They call it the Power Van.
To get that kind of output from Honda’s dismal engine, Bisimoto has fitted it with two large, meaty turbochargers, cat-back exhaust system and remapped ECU. Such an engine is a bugger to cool down, which is why there is no radiator grille and the intercooler is hanging off the front-end of the car.
A 1000 Horsepower Honda Odyssey would also be a bugger to drive. That is why the car is slammed to the ground and fitted with some properly fat wheels. And would you look at those rear wheels’ camber? Still, we’re not sure this thing actually works, or at least is capable of going round corners.
Despite the wonderfully crazy powertrain, the car’s exterior is styled tastelessly and unimaginatively using Honda Genuine Accessories parts and the interior is covered in brown leather. They could do better than that.
