Acura has not been particularly busy preparing mind-blowing projects for this year’s SEMA show, but they did put together some last-minute work to save face. They are bringing what they refer to as Custom Acura Performance Sedans Debut, based on RLX and ILX.
Acura RLX VIP Sedan is their first offering, a stylish take on the luxury sedan by Evasive Motorsports, featuring styling details such as a custom carbon fiber front bumper lip and vents, a modified rear bumper and fabricated exhaust system with titanium tips.
The car sits on 21-inch Advan F15 wheels wrapped in 245/35ZR-21 Continental ExtremeContact DW tires, and benefits from Tein Street Flex coilover suspension and Project Mu calipers and brake pads, and Evasive-spec brake rotors. Inside, Jordan Brand-inspired elephant print neck pillows are added.
The Acura RLX Urban Luxury Sedan, meanwhile, gets a treatment by MAD Industries with Acura Genuine Accessory parts. It gets a decklid spoiler and 3M 1080 Scotchprint wrap film, in brushed black metallic with gloss black accents. A set of 22-inch Niche wheels wrapped in Nitto Invo tires, in addition to satin black caliper covers and 3M tinted windows.
MAD industries has also prepared the Acura Street Performance ILX, which also features performance upgrades. The car features an Acura Genuine Accessories aero kit and a set of 19-inch TSW Max wheels wrapped in Nitto NT05 Max high performance tires, complete with coilover suspension.
These mods complement the engine upgrade, which consists of a supercharger kit from CT Engineering and an ECU tune with Hondata’s FlashPro, and a custom exhaust system, allowing the car’s 2.4 liter engine to pump out 250 horsepower.
