To stop people from mourning the demise of the Gallardo, Lamborghini launched the Hexagon Project, which we reckon is an elaborate teasing campaign for the Gallardo Successor, called the Cabrera. The first teaser shows an Aventador-like starting button. You push it, and you can hear the car starting up and revving.
Mind you, you have to first share the thing on Twitter, Facebook or Google before Lamborghini lets you hear the sound. Click Here to give it a try.
Now, this exhaust noise does not sound turbocharged to us, which means Lambo is sticking to natural aspiration. It also doesn’t really has any sort of V8 rumble to it, which must mean the Lamborghini Gallardo Successor will still be using a V10 engine. That’s the crucial bit about the car. Audi, Lamborghini’s owner, currently has a range of powerful, fuel efficient V8s available that can be used in the Cabrera. But an Italian V10 is something else.
All we know for sure right now is that the Lamborghini Gallardo Successor will lighter and nimbler than its predecessor, and that its design is heavily inspired by the Aventador.
